A new way to show time

This morning I woke up and looked at my alarm clock. I was still sleepy so when I saw the minute 55 I thought there was still a lot of time left in the hour. 1 second later, I realised that there were only 5 minutes left before the next hour started. 

My mistake would of course not have happened I was already fully awake. However I think that the 1 - 60 scale is not very intuitive. In every other regard, we are thinking from 1 - 100 or 1 - 10.
Money and the metric system usually uses 1 - 100.

So I had the idea to build a clock that simplifies this, while still staying readable and practical:
