My visit to Takamori Dengaku Hozonkai Restaurant 高森田楽保存会

If you want to experience traditional japanese food, you should checkout Takamori Dengaku Hozonkai on Mount Aso, Kumamoto Japan.
I was surprised when I noticed that  Prince Akishino the son of the Emperor of Japan had eaten there as well some years ago.

Don't worry if you don't speak Japanese, there is English speaking staff available.

takamori dengaku hozonkai "Misodengaku" is a dish prepared by skewering foodstuffs such as tofu, konnyaku, egg plant and satoimo (taro), pasting them with Japanese-lemon (citron) or Japanese-pepper flavored miso (bean paste), ayu fish (a sweetfish) with salt and then broiled them by charcoal fire

I was very happy to have been introduced to this place by Japanese locals from Kumamoto and will definitely visit it again.
